Swedish Revival: Bold Color, Timeless Design

Client Overview

My client, an active grandmother and busy professional, needed to refresh her much-loved family room in time to host an upcoming college reunion.  Her colorful collection of Swedish art and craft provided a deeply personal and authentic aesthetic for this much loved space.

However, her sofas and chairs showed signs of wear, especially after heavy use during the Covid lockdown. She needed to revitalize the space without changing everything—and without adding complexity to her busy life.

Project Summary

The aim was to breathe new life into a space that had become a bit worn by family gatherings and daily use.

I focused on refreshing the furniture and area rugs to align with the client’s love of Swedish design while ensuring durability and easy maintenance. This approach allowed us to rejuvenate the room without a complete redesign, enhancing its warmth and welcoming atmosphere.

This project shows that a beautiful design doesn’t always have to start from scratch.

I love keying into a client’s personal style and helping them breathe new life into their living spaces.
